What relationship does "The play of Robin and Marion = Le jeu de Robin et Marion, Medieval Folk Comedy Opera in One act" have to the English tradition of Robin Hood? Are they related at all or is it just some coincidence of name, especially when we see that this French work is dated so much earlier than any work on Robin? Is it thought that English Robin works drew on this French text? Are there other French texts dealing with the figures of Robin and Marian?
